There is a stillness in Marita's painting.
A longing to stop, breathe and let the colors speak before the words do.
When she paints, she surrounds herself with silence, no sounds, just the dialogue between color, form and feeling. She often begins without a plan, letting the colors meet and rest, observing, listening and letting the painting show the way. It is about finding balance, not always according to rules, but through presence and intuition. When the painting finds its stillness, she also finds hers.
For Marita, creation is a form of contemplation. She is inspired by nature, by The Gene Keys, and by the inner images that emerge in meditation. Her art carries a feminine calm and a warm presence, where intuition leads the way and the colors carry both joy and reflection.
Marita's artistic journey has always been there, but 2025 marked a turning point when she chose to wholeheartedly follow her artistic path. After years of change and inner questions. Who am I? What is true for me? She has landed in a desire to let art become a path to healing and tranquility.
The common thread in her work is precisely stillness. She wants to create paintings that you can rest in, paintings that invite the viewer on an inner journey. Her works function as quiet rooms, where time slows down and where the viewer can meet themselves.
If someone, by encountering her art, feels inspired to follow their heart, dare to listen, or do what they love, then Marita has achieved her purpose.

Marita's creative process is intuitive and alive.
She often starts with a foundation, colors that call to her, and then lets the painting rest. In the silence it shows what wants to come out. The process becomes a contemplative journey where each layer and each brushstroke opens a new dimension.
She works exploratively, layer upon layer, alternating between different brushes and techniques. Sometimes she uses her hands directly in the paint.
Curiosity is a central part of her process, what may at first seem like a mistake often leads to the truest expression. For Marita, creation is a dialogue between her and the painting, where listening is as important as the painting itself.
Nature is her foundation. She often seeks out land, to remember the stillness. The moss, the trees and the earth have accompanied her since childhood, and their movements are reflected in her brushstrokes.
Since moving to Ystad, light, the sea and the sky have also become an obvious part of her art. Water often recurs in her work and reflects her emotional life and inner rhythm.
Marita has also deepened her understanding of creation through The Gene Keys and contemplation.
Through this work, she has come closer to both her own inner self and the tranquility that permeates her painting.
All of this lives in her paintings, in the colors, in the layers and in the silence that slowly takes shape.
Inspiration

I have a cozy studio in Ystad, Sweden, a place filled with light, creativity and peace. It also functions as my own Gallery, where I will hold exhibitions and welcome visitors to experience my art up close.
