Blog Introduction. Art as a Way of Life
Welcome to my blog, a living field where art, body, rhythm, and soul meet in everyday movement. Here , I share not only what I create, but also how I create, and why. I write about walks that offer insight.Small choices that shift energy.Painting as a mirror of inner process.Self coaching and embodied wisdom. The path between dopamine and oxytocin. This is not a diary, nor is it instruction. It is a weaving. An archive of moments where life is allowed to speak, in color, in ste

Daily Self Coaching. Reflections in Motion
Today’s reflection, October 28 Today I chose a shorter and slower walk instead of pushing myself to complete a longer one. It became an experience of both a small dopamine lift, the feeling of having done something, and an inner oxytocin tone, a sense of calm. By not pushing my body to its limit, I also avoided a cortisol spike. I came home with energy still intact, enough to move on to the studio and create. This became a reminder to myself: coaching myself is not about push

Open up the work that is unfolding here?
July 2025 I am sitting in my studio in Ystad, sensing that the time has come to begin sharing the work that is unfolding here. The studio has become a kind of nest, filled with color, form, and an energy that has slowly grown. The painting process has now truly begun. The work comes to me in waves. Some paintings carry traces of earlier phases and have received new layers, new beginnings. This spring, the color orange called to me, and several canvases were grounded in that t

This Is Why I Do This
A reflection on blockage, Dopamia, and a slow breath. This entire journey with my paintings began with a feeling of blockage. Something within me wanted to move forward, but I could not pass through. At first, I tried to push my way ahead, to find the path through will. But the movement did not come from there. It began only when I stopped trying to force something. When I allowed myself to pause and listen. And in that in between space, the first impulse arrived. That is whe

New Steps in My Bodymapping Journey 🌿
Right now, I have the great joy of a few beautiful souls exploring bodymapping together with me in a small workshop. It feels deeply exciting to follow their processes, all that is awakened when one listens inward, creates freely, and allows the body to lead the way. This work gives me new insights all the time.About life.About community.About how meaningful it is to share, to express oneself without demands, and at the same time remain fully within one’s own process. I mys

When the Body Speaks Through the Brush
Right now, I am holding a Bodymapping workshop, where women are invited to meet themselves. And I have to say, it is deeply beautiful to be the one holding this space. We paint bodies. Not as they appear in the mirror, but as they are felt from within. Layer by layer. Color on feeling. A place in the body that needs to be seen is given a color. An area that has carried silence for a long time is given another layer. And I see what happens. How someone first hesitates, then pa

When the Pause Begins to Speak
Can I feel the difference between a pause that brings clarity and a pause that avoids something?Where in the body does that difference live? That question has followed me into the studio in recent days. When I work with Bodymapping and allow the painting to rest for a while, I notice that the pause itself begins to speak to me. It is as if something in the body steps forward precisely when I am not doing anything at all. Sometimes the pause is soft. It feels like a deep breath

When Everything Is Still
Reflection from the Studio My art is quiet. It does not shout. It circles rather than pushes forward. I do not paint to show something, but to reflect. Figures, forms, movements. Silences to contemplate within. Sometimes it begins with an empty surface and a single feeling. Sometimes it is a color that wants to arrive first. But it always ends where it began, in a breath. In a moment where everything is allowed to simply be. Marita 🌺 Inspiration från Naturen.

Thoughts from a Walk
I paint shadows that no one wants to touch. I paint silences that call out from within. I paint because color is honest when words are not enough. My body is a spiritual nervous system, where colors are impulses that carry messages. I am not here to understand everything. I am here to listen to what no longer wishes to remain hidden. And when I paint, it is allowed to move. It is allowed to leave. It is allowed to become light in the form of a new color. Bodymapping process
