Today’s reflection, October 28
Today I chose a shorter and slower walk instead of pushing myself to complete a longer one. It became an experience of both a small dopamine lift, the feeling of having done something, and an inner oxytocin tone, a sense of calm. By not pushing my body to its limit, I also avoided a cortisol spike. I came home with energy still intact, enough to move on to the studio and create.
This became a reminder to myself: coaching myself is not about pushing harder, but about listening more deeply.
A note to my future self, and to others: Let your body lead you toward the right pace. When you find a rhythm that does not exhaust you, but instead offers a gentle energy, you are on the right path.
