Thoughts from a Walk

I paint shadows that no one wants to touch.
I paint silences that call out from within.
I paint because color is honest when words are not enough.
My body is a spiritual nervous system, where colors are impulses that carry messages.
I am not here to understand everything.
I am here to listen to what no longer wishes to remain hidden.
And when I paint, it is allowed to move.
It is allowed to leave.
It is allowed to become light in the form of a new color.
